(Casc) seeks a skilled Professional Land Surveyor to lead our Survey and Mapping Department at our Corporate Office.
The Director will manage survey projects for a wide range of private and government sector clients throughout Southern California.
As the primary contact for survey projects, the Director will manage our dedicated field and office survey staff and maintain positive interactions with clients and other Casc departments.
Additionally, they will verify compliance with regulations and recommend upgrades to equipment, software, and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Salary:
Actual salary shall be determined by the final candidate's qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities shall include (not limited to):
Organize and schedule field crews for aerial and ground topography, boundary, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys and construction staking.
Provide mapping for subdivisions and prepare legal descriptions.
Manage calls from current and new clients.
Research, prepare scopes of service/budgets, and procure contracts.
Perform field surveying, error adjustment, and boundary resolution.
Perform surveys with conventional, GPS, and UAV equipment.
Post processing of survey data.
Work directly with clients to address construction surveying needs.
Support internal company engineering services.
Minimum
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will offer:
A valid and active California Professional Land Surveyor License 8 years of increasingly responsible sub-professional surveying work, including 3
years at a level of Survey Party Chief or Chief of Parties Ability to successfully manage project budgets and timelines, interpret data, and brainstorm ways to continuously improve project outcomes and processes A proven track record of developing and fostering strong client relationships History of maintaining team morale and collaboration Strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking skills Ability to communicate between project team and clients in a confident, positive, and clear manner Experience with the Public Land Survey System, establishment of boundary control, and application of the principles of excess and deficiency distribution Experience with AutoCAD and basic CAD mapping skills Experience with Trimble instruments and Trimble Business Center Familiarity with Line Code Sets and Description Key Sets Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word Experience with Civil3D and Autodesk Survey Databases preferred A High School Diploma or equivalent (General Educational Development GED Test or California Proficiency Certificate) A valid California driver's license Benefits include:
