General Duties:
Role:
School paraprofessionals, often referred to as teacher assistants or aides, work under the supervision of certified teachers to provide support in classrooms.
Their responsibilities may include assisting with instruction, classroom management, preparing materials, and providing one-on-one support to students.
Scope of Practice:
Paraprofessionals generally work with a diverse range of students and provide support across various subjects and activities within the classroom.
They may assist students with disabilities or special needs, as well as those who require extra help with academic or behavioral challenges.
Position Details:
24/25 School year 08/08/24 - 05/30/25 Approx.
30 hours / week Must have special education experience Must be open to:
Riding the bus to and from school Diapering and/or toileting Feeding/assisting with meals Lifting or working with students in a wheelchair Working with non-verbal students Working with students with specific behavior concerns Working with more than one student at a time Working with a student of the opposite gender Compensation:
