Regional Store Inventory Manager

The Regional Store Inventory Manager coordinates retail store inventory counting and control practices to maintain transactional accuracy and to assure compliance with SOP and audit requirements. This position supports internal supply chain functions and works to optimize inventory management. Additionally, this position prepares and analyzes various inventory related reports to identify and resolve any inventory control issues.
The Regional Store Inventory Manager is accountable for ensuring high levels of store inventory accuracy, not only to support the Company's business objectives, but also to contribute to the effective management of inventory-related costs.

Job Requirements
1. Develop, implement and oversee the regional store inventory management process. Serve as a liaison between Supply Chain, Merchandise Planning and the retail stores. Create and maintain inventory-related documentation per the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
2. Analyze inventory transactions, monitor cost, identify and resolve exceptions and shrinkage; investigate and resolve inventory-related issues and provide information to management.
3. Ensure a proper cycle-counting program is in place and facilitate a quarterly cycle-count process in the clearance outlets.
4. Run daily, weekly and monthly reports to ensure correct movement of merchandise and to correct discrepancies.
5. Conduct store visits; document findings and corrections; submit to management for review.
6. Facilitate the semi-annual store inventory process. Schedule dates, prepare scanners and coordinate needed resources; count merchandise in stock and post totals to inventory records; verify computations. Identify discrepancies in merchandise tagging or SKUs and collaborate with store leadership to correct identified inventory control problems and issues.
7. Oversee and manage merchandise movement, liquidation and disposal process. Monitor in-transit inventory and location changes regarding store and warehouse transfers; manage adjustment of inventory adds and losses.
8. Oversee and manage the Junk Report; arrange for the disposal of damaged merchandise.
9. Coordinate the movement of discontinued, damaged and slow-moving merchandise to the stores for liquidation.
10. Coordinate the merchandise donation process for sponsored charities and/or special projects.
11. Reconcile retail merchandise invoices and purchase orders; reconcile past due purchase orders and review shipping and receiving documents for accuracy.
12. Make employment decisions and/or recommendations on hiring, improvement plans, transfers, promotions, corrective actions, terminations, pay adjustments, etc.
13. Coordinate and manage the work of employees by directing members of the team to meet the area's goals. Audit regularly to ensure standard operating procedures are being adhered to.
14. Manage employee performance and assist employees in making improvements to their performance through coaching, mentoring and administering performance reviews. Recommend, plan and/or implement employee training and skill development activities.
15. Audit, maintain and ensure employee time-keeping and absentee records are accurate.
16. Communicate company and departmental issues and goals and facilitate employee growth and development through weekly team meetings, regular individual employee meetings, coaching, training, and company-offered learning opportunities.
17. Manage resources to optimize equipment, facilities, employees, methods and materials.

Education:
Associate Degree in Business or related field or equivalent work experience, Required
Experience:
2 years' experience in customer service, accounts payable or receivable, inventory control, logistics and/or supply chain, preferably in a retail or distribution center environment, Required

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
