We all work together as a team to make great things happen.   Our Facilities Division is focused on building system performance for our clients.  We are looking for a leader to manage and grow these services in the Southern CA/LA area.  We know that the department manager is critical for the success of the team. In this role, your primary responsibilities will be to lead, guide and direct your team while providing opportunities for the team as you work with existing or new clients to bring new client and projects in the door. You will provide support to teams working on larger projects, and helping them with any technical issues they may be experiencing. You will supervise or monitor all projects in progress within the department to ensure that work is executed on time, in accordance with the client's requirements, and within company policies, procedures and standards.  Most work will be on a variety of projects involving building diagnostics that may include, but not limited to, building conditions  assessments on systems from below grade to roof-top.  Work may include field testing, assessment, investigation, remedial design, technical consulting and quality assurance.  Within our Facilities your primary focus will include: Building Enclosure, MEP/HVAC/Energy, Structural Diagnostics and Facility/Property Condition Assessments.  Knowledge of the local market is desired with a proven ability to drive business opportunities and develop client relationships.  The well-established Terracon name will support efforts to accomplish the desired outcomes. We'll make sure that you are properly trained and have the necessary equipment to perform each job as safe as possible.   Daily Duties   Responsible for preparation of proposals and cost estimates for projects of varying degrees of complexity. Leads the  business development activities for all department personnel to ensure that adequate fees are available to support the manpower on the payroll. Plan for and execute the recruitment, selection, training, mentoring, and development of all employees in the department. Prepare and execute the department annual business plan. Oversee and manage the success of the key department metrics of revenue growth, staff chargeability, project billing and collections, and project profitability.  Lead safety efforts for team and ensure team follows safety rules and guidelines.  Responsible for creating and modeling a safe work environment; demonstrates safety practices.  Promote pre-task planning for all projects.   Qualifications   8 to 10 years' experience in facilities engineering/consulting within a related specialization such as building enclosure, structural diagnostics, MEP/HVAC, or facility asset management  and  5 years' experience leading/managing a team Professional Engineer (PE), NCARB Registered Architect (RA), or RCI designation as an RRC, RWC, REWC, RBEC is preferred B.S. in Civil Engineering, B.S. in Architectural Engineering, or Master of Architecture in Building Science/Building Enclosures/ Historic Preservation is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent client development and service history background Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record '10274BR

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
